ABOUT THE COURSE

The Wind Conducting course at Sherborne Summer School of Music, held in association with WASBE, is aimed at conductors with an interest in wind repertoire or brass instruments. Led by Mark Heron with Bjørn Sagstad, Agata Zajac, and composer in residence Martin Ellerby, the program explores physical language, score preparation, and rehearsal technique.

Participants play their own instruments to accommodate ensemble work within the class and work closely with the concurrent Wind Ensemble Course. Active students receive daily podium time and a performance opportunity at the end of the week, with all sessions filmed for regular review.
