ABOUT THE COURSE
The 5th Annual Vratsa Conducting Summer Masterclass (VCSM) is an intensive 10-day program offering conductors substantial orchestral podium time to analyze, develop, and refine their technique. Working with the full-time professional Vratsa Symphony Orchestra, participants gain realistic experience and immediate response to their artistic direction across symphonic and opera aria repertoire.
Limited to 15 active participants, the masterclass guarantees 100 minutes of total orchestral podium time, including 20 minutes per day, along with daily streamed video analysis, video seminars, and optional preparatory piano sessions. Conducting faculty Christo Pavlov and Malcolm Yuen provide dedicated guidance throughout the rehearsal process.
The masterclass culminates in final public concerts recorded in High Definition video with stereo audio mix, providing each conductor with valuable, high-quality media materials for their professional portfolio. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from intermediate and advanced conductors.
