ABOUT THE COURSE

The Societat Musical La Constància de Moixent (Valencia) organizes the VIII Wind Band Conducting Course and Competition with conductor and composer José Alberto Pina. It will be held from July 1 to 4, 2025. In this eighth edition, the S.M. La Constància de Moixent, one of the most prominent wind bands in the La Costera region, wants to give continuity to a course that accommodates musicians attracted to conducting and composition, as well as professionals who wish to expand their knowledge. In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in a conducting competition held parallel to the course.

Students will be able to enjoy a few days with Maestro José Alberto Pina, one of the most representative figures of composition and conducting in the wind band world. Theoretical and practical classes will be held, in addition to sessions with the wind band where, furthermore, the students themselves will conduct in the closing concert. On the other hand, students will have the opportunity to listen to Johann Conductor, who will give a Masterclass on The Axes of Programming. 10 active participants and an undetermined number of auditors will be admitted. The registration period is open from February 1 to June 20. The selection of active participants will be made in strict order of registration.
