ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The VI International Orchestral Conducting Competition of the Universidad de Almería consolidates itself as a worldwide projection platform for young talents. Following a video pre-selection, eight conductors will be invited to the in-person phase in Almería, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skill in front of an international jury.
During the semifinal, the participants will conduct the wind and string ensembles. Subsequently, four finalists will advance to the last phase to work on the symphonic and lyrical repertoire with the full orchestra and a soprano soloist, culminating in a grand final concert at the Auditorio Maestro Padilla.
