ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Vicerrectorado de Cultura y Sociedad and the Consejo Social of the Universidad de Almería organize the V International Orchestral Conducting Competition, which will be held in Almería, in its final phases, from October 9 to 12, 2025.
Participants:
Conductors of all nationalities who are at least 18 years old and have not reached the age of 35 by the competition registration deadline (last day, May 20) may participate.
Prize winners from the three previous editions may not apply for this edition.
Prizes:
1st Prize:
- Accrediting diploma and €4,000, taxes included.
- 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad Metropolitana de Bari (Italy).
- 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Pitesti Symphony Orchestra (Romania).
- 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland).
2nd Prize:
- Accrediting diploma and €1,000, taxes included.
Orchestra Prize:
- Accrediting diploma (will be decided by a vote of the orchestra musicians at the end of the concert/competition).
