ABOUT THE COURSE
Internationally renowned conductor Catherine Larsen Maguire leads an intensive weekend conducting masterclass in Glasgow, UK, working alongside artistic director John Grant. The workshop is designed for conductors seeking active podium experience with a high-level instrumental ensemble.
Participants will work closely with The Undici Project, an ensemble of eleven professional musicians dedicated to performing symphonic repertoire specifically re-scored for chamber ensemble. Each selected participant is guaranteed 40 minutes of podium time.
The masterclass repertoire features reduced chamber arrangements of major works, including Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 2 and 5, Egmont Overture, Brahms’s Symphonies Nos. 1 and 3, and Johann Strauss II’s Overture to Die Fledermaus.
