14 – 19 FEB 2027

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Prague Philharmonia Conducting Workshop, taking place from February 14 to 19, 2027, in Prague, offers an intensive six-day training program for conductors led by Prof. Rüdiger Bohn. Participants will work with the prestigious Prague Philharmonia, focusing on core works from the orchestral repertoire including Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, Schubert’s Symphony No. 4, Stravinsky’s Concerto in D, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4.

Active participants receive 90 minutes of podium time with the professional orchestra and 60 minutes in four-hand piano sessions. The workshop emphasizes practical orchestral work, culminating in a final concert on February 19, 2027, in which active conductors perform. Video recordings of all orchestra sessions and the final concert are included.

The course takes place at KD Ládví, the home venue of the Prague Philharmonia. Semi-active options are also available, providing access to all meetings, rehearsals, piano sessions, and the final concert.
