Real Filharmonía & Brönnimann Conducting Workshop – Dec 2026

Baldur Brönnimann
Santiago de Compostela (La Coruña), Spain
09 – 12 DEC 2026

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Real Filharmonía de Galicia (RFG) announces a new edition of its Orchestral Conducting Workshop, led by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Baldur Brönnimann. Held in Santiago de Compostela, this intensive four-day masterclass offers emerging conductors the opportunity to work directly with the professional musicians of the RFG and students from the Escola de Altos Estudos Musicais (EAEM).

Up to six active participants will be selected by an evaluation committee to refine their technique and interpretation across a diverse repertoire, ranging from 19th-century masterpieces to contemporary works. The workshop focuses on addressing key professional challenges faced by the new generation of symphonic conductors.

The masterclass concludes with a final public concert at the Auditorio de Galicia, featuring all active participants sharing the podium to lead the Real Filharmonía de Galicia.
