ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Pazardjik International Conducting Competition & Masterclass is a unique four-day event held at the ‘Maestro Georgi Atanasov’ Concert Hall in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. Under the artistic direction of Huba Hollókői and Nse’ Ekpo, the program offers exactly 12 selected conductors the chance to work intensively with the Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra.
Each candidate is guaranteed at least 50 minutes of uninterrupted podium time with the orchestra, individual video review sessions after rehearsals, and two private one-to-one coaching sessions. All participants will conduct in the final public concert, and the orchestra will vote to decide the winner of the first prize, which consists of either 5,000 Euros or a full guest conducting engagement in the 2027-2028 season.
