ABOUT THE COURSE
The Banda de Música Villa de Guillena presents the I Wind Band Conducting and Rehearsal Didactics Masterclass with conductor Juan F. Ballesteros. All this on the initiative of its principal conductor Manuel Jesús Ramos.
The event will take place on December 14, 2024, with the aim of facilitating, bringing closer, and stimulating the comprehensive training of present and future Wind Band conductors. A Wind Band is not just conducted, a Wind Band is built, and therefore, conducting must be supported not only by musical elements but from a humanistic point of view.
The masterclass will take place at the following location:

The I Wind Band Conducting and Rehearsal Didactics Masterclass offers a broad and holistic view of the act of conducting with the following contents:
- Mechanics of conducting: Technique and Analysis
- Communication and humanistic management: Role of the conductor
- Rehearsal didactics: Productive rehearsals, ear training, wind band contest project
- Musical marketing: Personal brand creation and projects
- Practice with Wind Band: Double rehearsal with the Banda de Música “Villa de Guillena”.
