ABOUT THE COURSE

Myrtus Academy presents an intensive orchestral conducting masterclass led by renowned pedagogue Johannes Schlaefli in Murcia, Spain. Working with the Myrtus Festival Orquesta, up to 12 active participants will receive comprehensive podium time across five days of orchestral sessions. The program focuses on conducting technique, rehearsal management, and individualized artistic guidance.

Participants will delve into a selected repertoire featuring works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Stravinsky, and Dvořák. The masterclass includes five full-orchestra sessions, individual career perspective meetings, and professional video recording opportunities for all conductors.

The course culminates in a final concert at the historic Teatro Romea, presented in collaboration with the Asociación Promúsica de Murcia. Selected active participants will be chosen to conduct during the public performance.
