ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society and the Social Council of the Universidad de Almería organize the IV International Orchestral Conducting Competition, which will hold its final phases in Almería from December 6 to 9, 2024.
Participants:
Conductors of all nationalities who are at least 18 years old and have not reached the age of 35 by the competition’s registration deadline (last day, May 30) are eligible to participate.
Prizes:
1st Prize:
– Consisting of an accrediting diploma and €4,000, taxes included.
– 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad Metropolitana de Bari (Italy).
– 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Almería.
– 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Pitesti (Romania).
2nd Prize:
– Accrediting diploma and €1,000, taxes included.
Orchestra Prize:
– Accrediting diploma (to be decided by a vote of the orchestra musicians at the end of the concert/competition).
