ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The International Ferenc Fricsay Conducting Competition honours its namesake, the legendary conductor who spent a decade as Music Director of the symphony orchestra in Szeged, Hungary. The competition aims to offer talented young conductors a professional platform and a direct pathway toward international recognition. Prizewinners receive concrete engagement opportunities, including guest conducting performances with established European orchestras.
