ABOUT THE COURSE
The Orquesta Filarmónica de La Mancha “OFMAN” announces the III Musical Conducting Course. This course offers the possibility of working with works of different Musical Genres and at different levels of knowledge and experience in conducting.
The Musical Genres to be worked on are:
- Chamber Music (String Orchestra)
- Opera/Zarzuela
- Oratorio
- Symphonic Music
All Musical Genres will be offered at 3 levels:
- Beginner.
- Intermediate.
- Advanced.
Thus, an appropriate repertoire will be established for each of the levels. This repertoire is specified in other sections below.
- In addition to the Orchestra, there will be a Choir and Soloists for the repertoire that requires it.
- A maximum of 12 active participants and 30 auditors will participate in the course.
- Active participants will be accepted in strict order of arrival of registrations.
- Registrations can be made from March 1 to June 30.
- Auditors may attend all classes and practical sessions of the course.
- On Sunday, July 13, there will be a final concert with the participation of all students.
- The course professor will be Francisco-Antonio Moya, Artistic and Principal Conductor of the Orquesta Filarmónica de La Mancha.
Podium time:
- Each active participant will have 120 minutes of podium time during the Course sessions. This time will be distributed as 60 minutes with Piano and 60 minutes with Orchestra (Choir and soloists when necessary).
- Each active conductor will have up to a maximum of 10 minutes of podium time in the Final Concert.
- The classes with Orchestra, Choir, and Soloists and the Final Concert will be recorded, with this material being available to the students.
