ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Vicerrectorado de Comunicación y Extensión Universitaria and the Consejo Social of the Universidad de Almería organize the III International Orchestral Conducting Competition, which will be held in Almería, in its final phases, from December 7 to 10, 2023.
Conductors of all nationalities who are at least 18 years old and have not reached the age of 35 by the competition registration deadline (last day, April 28) may participate.
Prizes:
1st Prize:
– Accrediting diploma and €4,000, taxes included.
– 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga.
– 1 Concert as guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Almería.
2nd Prize:
– Accrediting diploma and €1,000, taxes included.
Orchestra Prize:
– Consisting of an accrediting diploma (will be decided by a vote of the orchestra musicians at the end of the concert/competition).
