ABOUT THE COMPETITION
In this edition, the guest professor to develop the course-competition alongside the principal conductor of the BMG will be Maestro Miguel Romea. A proven orchestral conductor and one of the most important figures today in orchestral conducting pedagogy.
General Objectives:
– Gestural technique: To provide gestural tools for correct musical communication.
– Flexibility in the BMG: Reacting to the different ways of conducting of the course attendees is good training for the flexibility of our wind band.
– To involve the musicians of the BMG in the conducting competition as jurors with a vote in choosing the winner.
Prizes:
In relation to the score obtained, the following prizes are established:
1st PRIZE:
– Certified diploma of recognition.
– €600 gross.
– Participation as guest conductor in a program with the BMG during the 2024-2025 artistic season (date, location, and repertoire to be determined). The fees corresponding to the rehearsals and the concert are already included in the financial prize.
2nd PRIZE: Certified diploma of recognition and first reserve for participation as guest conductor with the BMG.
3rd PRIZE: Certified diploma of recognition and second reserve for participation as guest conductor with the BMG.
