ABOUT THE COURSE
Divertimento Ensemble announces its 2027 Conducting Course dedicated to contemporary ensemble repertoire from the early 1900s to present day, led by teacher Sandro Gorli along with guest composer tutors Stefano Gervasoni, Philippe Hurel, and Mauro Lanza. The course is structured across two distinct cycles, taking place in Milan at Fabbrica del Vapore and Moncalvo at the Municipal Theatre.
Participants will engage in two online score analysis sessions prior to intensive in-person rehearsals. Rehearsals mirror standard professional concert production, allowing conductors to alternate on the podium while receiving direct feedback from the artistic director and composer tutors. Every student performs in a final public concert.
The two top-performing conductors of the course will be offered an opportunity to return and conduct a concert in Milan as part of the Rondò 2028 concert season. Scholarships covering full tuition for Cycle 2 are available. Applicants must be born after January 17, 1990.
