ABOUT THE COURSE
Course objectives:
- To understand the figure of the Wind Band conductor and their role in musical interpretation.
- To deepen the training of conductors at both a technical and pedagogical level for a better development in their task leading amateur ensembles.
- To study technical resources from different conducting schools.
- To study the history of the original repertoire for wind band and its sociocultural use in our towns.
- To understand the use of the wind band in contemporary musical culture: from pedagogy to the artistic world.
- To share experiences among the student conductors of different wind bands.
- To study different orchestration techniques applied to wind bands from a didactic and practical point of view.
