ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The XXI edition of the Gheorghe Dima International Music Competition features a Choir Conducting section held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The competition is open to conductors of all nationalities born after 1991. Following a video pre-selection, 32 candidates will be invited to the live rounds.
The live competition consists of a First Round, a Second Round, a Semi-final, and a Final Concert, all taking place with the Transylvania State Philharmonic Choir. In addition, the event offers free masterclasses taught by jury members for participants who do not advance, ensuring an educational experience alongside the competition.
