SOBRE EL CURSO
The Japanese-German Philharmonic Society hosts an intensive 9-day international summer academy dedicated to romantic symphonies and orchestral songs. Held at the Saitama Arts Theater in Japan, the course provides progressive instruction starting with piano and chamber ensemble rehearsals, transitioning through chamber orchestra sessions, and culminating in full symphonic work with the Symphonische Akademie.
Led by director Naoki Sugiyama, former guest conductor of the Dohnányi Symphony Orquesta and Moravian Philharmonic, the course focuses on masterworks by Mahler, Wagner, Wolf, and R. Strauss. All active participants receive direct daily podium time and perform publicly in final concerts alongside the professional orchestra.
Participants benefit from practical evaluation and structured public performance opportunities, including the Promenade Concert, Academy Concert, and Master Concert. Video and audio recordings are available upon request.
