SOBRE EL CURSO
Ensemble OrQuesta presents its 2027 Ópera Conducting Academy, offering conductors the opportunity to direct fully staged operas under the guidance of Artistic Director Marcio da Silva. Participants will receive specialized coaching in opera conducting technique while preparing public performances.
The academy focuses on Pergolesi’s chamber operas Livietta e Tracollo and La Serva Padrona. Rehearsals will take place in St Leonards on Sea and Hastings, culminating in one performance in Hastings and four performances at The Cockpit in Marylebone, London, accompanied by six professional musicians from Ensemble OrQuesta Baroque.
Limited to four participating conductors, each student will conduct at least one of the two operas in a staged performance and act as an assistant for the remaining performances.
