ÜBER DEN WETTBEWERB
Organized as part of the SONEINRA 2026 Artistic Residency, Orchester Olimpia APS presents an international selection for orchestra conductors taking place in Pesaro, Italien. Following a preliminary evaluation based on CV and video submission, up to 12 conductors will be admitted to the live round.
Participants in the live round will receive 25 minutes of guaranteed podium time conducting Orchester Olimpia in an overture by Ludwig van Beethoven (Coriolan, Prometheus, or Ruins of Athens). The live sessions take place on 9 and 10 December 2026, evaluated by a jury presided over by Romolo Gessi alongside Rebecca Lang and Francesca Perrotta.
The winner will be awarded the opportunity to open the final concert of the residency on 11 December 2026 at the historic Teatro Rossini in Pesaro, conducting their selected Beethoven overture alongside the orchestra.
