ÜBER DEN KURS
The working sessions of these Meisterkurse, which will take place again at the Foundation’s Headquarters, will revolve around four outstanding compositions from the symphonic and concertante repertoire.
The program includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony Nein. 6 “Pathétique” (Ed. Breitkopf & Härtel), the fourth movement (“Urlicht”) of Mahler’s Symphony Nein. 2 “Resurrection” (Universal Edition – Kaplan Foundation), the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony Nein. 5 (Ed. C. F. Peters), and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto Nein. 4 (Ed. Breitkopf & Härtel).
All these works have been recently conducted by Maestro Chichon with great public and critical success in the OFGC subscription season and the Canary Islands Music Festival, and will feature the participation of two Canarian soloists, baritone Fernando Campero and pianist Isaac Martínez Mederos.
