ABOUT THE COURSE
AD LIBITUM opens its Musical Conducting classroom for the first time in Ontinyent (Valencia), offering an intensive course led by Maestro Jaume Santonja. The program is designed for young conductors seeking to perfect their technique, as well as for musicians with an interest in conducting who desire a serious and professional first contact on the podium.
The training is structured by combining morning theoretical sessions focused on conducting technique, interpretive analysis, and rehearsal planning, with intensive practical sessions in the afternoon. The central aspect of the course is real practice, allowing students to work from the beginning with accompanying pianists, chamber groups, and ensembles, up to conducting the band and orchestra of the colonies themselves.
Participants will study a repertoire of great artistic relevance that will cover both classical symphonic music and key contemporary works for wind band. The course will culminate by offering participants the possibility to apply what they have learned by conducting in the closing public concert.
