ABOUT THE COURSE
The Orchestral Conducting Course, led by maestro Alberto G. López, is part of the XIX Encuentros con la Música in La Bañeza. The program is aimed at a maximum of 10 active participants with a minimum level of 4th year of Professional Studies, selected by order of registration, and includes sessions on gestural technique, rehearsal preparation, and work with a repertoire pianist and orchestra.
Each active participant will have 55 minutes of practice with piano and one hour daily in front of the resident chamber orchestra, in addition to participating in group feedback sessions. In parallel, a specific workshop on leadership and musical performance psychology will be taught by specialists Jairo García and Sandra Rodríguez.
The training concludes with a closing concert at the Teatro Municipal de La Bañeza, in which the participants will conduct works by Beethoven and Schubert leading the Orquesta de los Encuentros con la Música.
