ABOUT THE COURSE
The working sessions of these Masterclasses, which will take place again at the Foundation’s Headquarters, will revolve around four outstanding compositions from the symphonic and concertante repertoire.
The program includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique” (Ed. Breitkopf & Härtel), the fourth movement (“Urlicht”) of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” (Universal Edition – Kaplan Foundation), the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 (Ed. C. F. Peters), and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 (Ed. Breitkopf & Härtel).
All these works have been recently conducted by Maestro Chichon with great public and critical success in the OFGC subscription season and the Canary Islands Music Festival, and will feature the participation of two Canarian soloists, baritone Fernando Campero and pianist Isaac Martínez Mederos.
