ABOUT THE COURSE
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra launches its inaugural Conductor Academy with Music Director Cristian Măcelaru. The Conductor Academy will be held on October 8 & 9, and features opportunities for the candidates to conduct the CSO in a masterclass setting under the tutelage of Music Director Cristian Măcelaru.
The Conductor Academy will also include panel discussions with CSO musicians and administrators to provide a holistic understanding of the inner workings of an American orchestra and demonstrates the integral role conductors play away from the podium. Panel discussions will include information on season planning, producing concerts, public relations and branding, fundraising and donor stewardship, and a score study session with Cristian Măcelaru.
